Championing heroic community drivers | COVID-19 Underwriting Appetite Changes
ERS MOTOR INSURANCE 3rd April 2020
Following the COVID-19 outbreak, ERS have made some changes to their underwriting appetites and product availability to help BP Insurance Brokers and policy holders. These include changes regarding voluntary deliveries, renewal terms, MOT testing, opening up eTrade Courier for all brokers, reduction in cover to laid up vehicles and change of use across selected products.
Voluntary deliveries
Any policyholder on any ERS product can use their vehicle for voluntary services, like NHS deliveries or patient transfer. There’s no extra cost and no need to notify BP Insurance Brokers.
Renewal terms
If BP Insurance Brokers can’t connect with ERS policyholders with invited renewal terms, ERS will honour them for another 30 days and re-instate the policy to the original renewal date when BP Insurance Brokers contacts ERS.
MOT
ERS Policy conditions won’t be breached if a MOT hasn’t been completed.
Reduction in cover
ERS have made reduction in cover to laid up, fire and theft acceptable across Fleet, Taxi, Minibus, Transportation and Coach and Bus products – please speak to BP Insurance Brokers for more detail.
Change of use
Policyholders can change their vehicle’s use across ERS Fleet and Commercial products – please speak to BP Insurance Brokers for more details.
