How Taxi Insurers are stepping up to help…

Many taxi insurers are enhancing their vehicle use and cover suspension criteria in order to assist TAXI clients during this difficult time.

Below is our UNDERSTANDING of the current position for our TAXI clients ONLY and is correct at the time of posting. This list is not exhaustive, is provided for information only and does not in any way vary or take precedence over an insurance companies policy or certificate wording. Please refer to your normal insurance provider to confirm how this applies to you. Do NOT assume these enhancements apply to you! Check with your insurance provider!

  • Axa- Allowing use for takeaway delivery service.
  • Collingwood – Allowing use for takeaway delivery and other goods excluding hazardous.
  • ERS – Allowing Laid Up Cover and use for takeaway delivery service.
  • Gefion – Allowing use for takeaway delivery service. Must email this across to them and they will issue a new certificate insurer charge of £25 to the policyholder.
  • Granite/Haven/Acorn – Allowing use for takeaway delivery and other goods excluding hazardous.
  • KGM – Allowing use for takeaway delivery and other goods excluding hazardous.
  • Markerstudy – Will allow you to decrease your cover to Social, Domestic & Pleasure use Only. Allowing use for takeaway delivery service. groceries & prescriptions.
  • QBE – This is on a case by case basis as to whether they will offer laid up cover, delivery service or SDP.
  • Sabre – Allowing use for takeaway delivery service.
  • SEIB – Will allow Laid Up Cover.
  • Signature – Allowing use for takeaway delivery and other goods excluding hazardous.
  • TFP/Aviva – Allowing use for takeaway delivery and other goods excluding hazardous.
  • Trident – Will consider reduction in cover to SDP only. Allowing use for takeaway delivery and other goods excluding hazardous.
